Cam Boyd has been a fixture of the Toronto ad community for 25+ years. And tbh….it’s been a pretty amazing quarter century.

We’ve gone from painstakingly crafted, TV first creative, to highly reactive, PR inducing 1:1 consumer interactions. And you know what? Cam is here for it.

ChatGTP, Midjourney, Suno? The A.I. explosion is exciting, not scary (unless it continues to go unregulated and then, ya, it’s a little scary). Have big client goals with less than big client budgets? Cam brings invention and entrepreneurial thinking into every juncture of the creative process.

But for all the ways this industry has changed one thing that hasn’t is Cam’s love for a challenge. A fresh problem. An age old problem. Problems in all forms. His career has taken him from roles at huge multinationals to scrappy startups. He’s received accolades for his work everywhere from Cannes to an in depth article in the Christian Science Monitor (shoulder shrug emoji on the latter). He’s created and guided category busting work for everything from North American wide package goods accounts to local yarn stores (the latter of which is still running in market 11 years later).

Cam is a true builder. Of agencies and of new business. But what he likes building most is a team. A welcoming, inclusive team. One where he can help young creatives find their creative voice and help more experienced creatives start the metamorphosis to true leadership. But Cam's dedication to team-building extends beyond the confines of an agency. Cam loves building trust and confidence with clients so that all corners of the zoom screen share common goals, mutual respect and a drive to produce kick ass work.

So ya. That’s pretty much Cam Boyd. If you’d like to seeing excellent parent pranks played on kids, or appreciate 90’s hip hop tracks set to 80’s cartoons or are a connoisseur of Dad jokes, follow him at https://www.instagram.com/camboyd/
